2002 Jaguar X type in Morpeth, Northumberland for sale

Beautiful example. Bodywork incredibly good for a car of this age, almost immaculate as you can see from the photos. And a test drive will have you questioning the mileage. It drives really well and starts first time every time. It was standing for 3 weeks and it started first time on the 3rd turn. Car was due MOT on boxing day. My partner became very ill over Xmas so it was left for a while. It failed the MOT badly. Sills were rotten and they can't be bought - have to be made. There were other things and I discovered it was going to cost over £500 to get it repaired. I had other things on my mind but eventually decided that this car is far too nice to scrap, as you can see from the pics, so I paid for the repairs - would have cost more than double that at a Jag dealer. It's now MOT'd til late January 2016. Car has leather seats - couple of scuffs but nothing too bad. Great sound system, cruise control, huge boot. Beautiful bodywork. All you'd expect of a Jag. It's used daily so mileage will change. My partner died a month ago so I now have 2 cars. Her much newer but smaller car and the Jag. I decided immediately to sell this car but with petrol prices tumbling I had second thoughts. I was in no hurry and I'm using the Jag every day - so mileage will change. I finally decided to put both up for sale and sell the one that went first. Advisory on MOT was that rear tyres near the limit so I've taken that into account. And has disabled tax - until June - so that's taken into account too. The only other negative is that the engine warning light is on - it's been on for a year or so and I've been to York and Liverpool in it in that time. I had it on the diagnostic machine and the fault is with a CO2 sensor. It passed the MOT with this light on so emissions are fine. I'll give the buyer 48 hours and if s/he finds that the fault is anything other than a CO2 sensor playing up I'll refund the money in full. I have all of the MOTs for this car and some service history. I'm open to offers but please don't make silly ones, I genuinely paid £540 to get it through the MOT. When you see the MOT failure notes you will know that £540 was a good price. The previous owner had all work done at a Jag main dealer and spent a fortune on it. I have the bills. I'll take £1,000 ono. I'm in Northumberland, near Ashington, but regularly visit my son in Jesmond and am in North Shields a couple of times a week.
